Now initally I thought a plastic piece of some sort that would allow to transfer the signature. Then I thought of having one denomination of bill signed and in another trick have a different denomination signed and wait a bit good ole time misdirection. Then show one and switch in for the other. but I though if I did it that way signatures could be messed up and different from each other and wouldnt actually be the desired effect. So I came up with a nice gaff that will last forever and makes the effect true and complies to the conditions.

Effect - Magician borrows a 1 dollar bill with a marker her draws a square on the bill magician tells the spec to sign the bill within the square the magician folds up the bill unfolds it and its a 20 with the signature and drawn on square still there.

Gimmick - take a one dollar bill put it on a surface you dont mind scratching.length wise.So that the president is laying on his side.next you need to cut a rectangle about an inch and a half long and half an inch wide. which will take out almost all of the presidents face. now take a marker and draw within the rectangle cut out. no get a substance such as magicians wax or double stick tape to stick the one to a twenty. now your ready.

Ok fold up the gaffed bill into the position for your favorite switch. now place the pen in your pocket and your ready to perform.

Performance - Ask for a one dollar bill now secretly switch it with the gimmicked bill. lay the bill out and redraw your rectangle on it so now its also on the 20 have the spec. come on stage and sign within the rectangle.now that the bill is signed the spec.goes back to their seat. Now what I do is fold the bill in half with the one inside. unfold the 20 leaving the one folded in half then fold the whole thing lengthwise unfold just the 20 now the one is in quarters. with your fingers behind the 20 fold the one into eighths and steal it away from the 20 into finger palm continue to fold the bill into forths then eighths and unfold revealing its a twenty. ditch the one.

Notes - now you may be thinking that the audience would notice the fact its a 20 but from being on stage until you draw attention to it and with good patter (which I dont want to supply because creativity is a wonderful thing) the spectator wont notice its a 20. the moment you point out your now holding a 20 it gets a beautiful reaction. Also when getting the one into eighths it is important to do so quickly. standing there to long hold a twenty straight out isnt much of an effect.
