Proving the Impossible

Sudden Sandwich SOLVED!

by Dale Shrimpton

The way I would do this is as follows..

I would have card indexes in each pocket. I would ask the spectator to remove the 2 cards, then shuffle the deck.

Then I would ask them to think of any one of the remaining cards, whilst doing so, I would split the deck in two, and pop each half into the pockets, along with the card indexes.

They then name the card. Now, if the card is in the index in your left pocket, you look towards your right jacket pocket and say “your card will go from here”....plunging your right hand into the right pocket,

This draws their attention away from the left pocket. You casualy put the left hand into the pocket, and remove the card, palming it as you go.

You then say “ and it will arrive…here!”. With the left hand you spread the two cards, depositing the named palmed card on top.

They now see 3 cards.

You pick up the chosen card, and execute a Mexican turnover, to apparently show the middle card as their named card.

Then, show the others as the two cards that the spectator removed from the pack.

Naturaly , reverse the hands if their named card is in the right pocket.
