Shared Thoughts
by
Andy Leviss

Andy Leviss is a Boston based performer who has been involved in magic since the age of four. He works primarily as a mentalist, but can still occasionally be found performing
close-up and stage magic, as well as working as an illusion consultant for a number of other performers. His mentalism effects have been published in M-U-M and SYZYGY (including "Deli Delight", one of the effects on the "SYZYGY's Best, Vol. 3" video). Outside of the world of magic, he is pursuing a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology at Emerson College in Boston, MA. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for future articles about mentalism, you can get in touch with him at Andy@DucksEchoSound.com.

Don't B.S. Your Audience
Andy's back! And he tackles a question near and dear to his heart: should you let facts get in the way of a good presentation?

Things Are Progressing Nicely
Andy does a bit of spring-cleaning early, taking a look at a number of things that have been populating his mind of late. Anyone who knows Andy knows that really means a look at some real gems of thinking!

So Read My Mind!
What mentalist hasn't been hit with that challenge? As time goes on, we learn a response to it out of sheer self-defense. Here's Andy's take on how to deal with the demand, including the whys and wherefores. Must-reading for mentalists of all levels!

Easy Does It. Or Does It?
Some psychic entertainers make their feats look as simple as breathing. Others appear to be undergoing some internal hemorrhaging during their effects. Which is correct? Andy takes a look at the question in his latest article.

A Fine Prop Position
In it's purest form, mentalism shies away from unusual props. What separates an unusual prop from a usual one? That's what Andy explains in this article.

Eat Up!
Want to learn how to be great? Read this story, follow Andy's advice, and you're on your way to something better than mere greatness.

Mixing It Up
Can magic and mentalism survive and thrive together? In the same act? Andy takes a look at this stumper of a question by way of insight and example.
